Designing
Your Custom China
Where will your image look
best? The answer depends on the shape and detail of your
image.

Logo Location - Rim
90% of logos are placed on the rim area
at 12:00. Some logos need modifications since all do not lend
themselves to a rim presentation. Examples include logos with a
straight line of type. When you put a straight line of type between
two concentric lines (rim) it invariably appears crooked. The
solution is to curve the text to fit the rim. You may want part of
your logo at 12:00 and part at 6:00.. that's fine too. We'll provide
digital mock ups so that you can see all the options!
Logo Location - Well
The well area is used where: 1.
The logo needs to be larger to capture a detailed image, 2. The logo
is a round seal type image, or 3. The type cannot be curved to fit
the rim. |

Mugs and cups are generally easy. We decorate 20mm
down from the lip area to avoid issues relating to food surfaces and
lead release. If you want a 2 sided image, we can accommodate that
as well.
Because of the shape of many cups, we may have to distort the
image so that it is straight when decorated over an irregular
surface. This is known as fitting the image to the shape. |
